Compress PDF
Make a PDF smaller to email or upload. Text and drawings stay sharp; only oversized photos are re-saved.

How it works
- Recommended keeps photos at up to 150 ppi for the page they are on — fine on screen and for normal printing. Smaller goes to 110 ppi.
- Text, fonts, lines, form fields and links are not touched, so the text stays sharp and selectable.
- You see the real size before and after. If a file can't be made noticeably smaller, ORDODAY says so instead of giving you a copy that isn't.
- Digitally signed PDFs are left alone: any rewrite would break the signature.

Are my files uploaded?
No. This tool runs inside your browser on this device. ORDODAY's servers never receive the file, and the page's security policy blocks it from sending file data anywhere.
Why did my PDF hardly shrink?
Most of a PDF's size is usually photos or scans. A PDF that is mostly text, or whose pictures are already small, has little to remove without hurting quality.
Will the text get blurry?
No. Only photos stored as JPEG can be re-saved. Text and vector drawings are copied exactly.
